HISTORY:

The S.W.A.A.G. (Students With Athletic Ambitious Goals) Performance Foundation was founded by Coach Ronnie Crump. Coach Crump is a teacher, coach, mentor, father-figure, and an advocate for at-risk youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The S.W.A.A.G. Foundation was established to assist the needs of student-athletes to achieve their goals of obtaining an academic or athlete scholarship.

Programs

The S.W.A.A.G Performance Foundation program consists of three components:

Academics

Coach Crump discovered that most of the student-athletes he's developed earned quality grades to be admitted into college but the main obstacle for them was passing the SAT and ACT. S.W.A.A.G. has developed partnerships with the best SAT and ACT testing consultants in the area. These consultants specialize in strategies to help the students improve their test scores. S.W.A.A.G. also provides tutoring services in the following CORE SUBJECT AREAS:

S.W.A.A.G. hires certified teachers as tutor consultants in their particular subject area.

Athletic Training:

The athletic training component of our program is designed to focus on specific sport training, position specific training and nutritional education. S.W.A.A.G. hires athletic trainers to enhance the student-athletes strength, speed, and fundamentals of their particular sport. The trainers have experience working with the top athletes in high school, college, and those on the professional level. The trainers also specialize in preparing the student-athletes not only for their seasons of play but also for combines and showcases.

R.E.P.A Program

Majority of the student-athletes that we encounter are first generation born college bound students. Our R.E.P.A. Program is an awareness program designed to educate the parents and student-athletes about the following:

Target Market:

The demographics we target are prospective student-athletes whom are in great academic standing and have either obtained the necessary SAT/ACT score or have registered for the tests. These students are rising seniors (2013), juniors (2014), or sophomores (2015). These students are comprised of students from state of Maryland, Prince George's County and Washington, D.C. The Washington, D.C. area is very rich in talent, it's known as an "Untapped Market" for college recruiters across the United States.

Unfortunately, our students can't afford this experience of traveling to different schools across the country to gain the exposure and showcase their skills to earn a scholarship. Majority of them are raised in single-family by single-mothers which hinders their ability to afford this experience. They often miss out on the opportunity to perform at these camps. For many of them, it's their only way to afford college based on their academics and athletic prowess.
